Q: What foods can I dip in the chocolate?

A: This is up to your imagination! See the "Dipping Items" tab. Things that are not recommended are foods that produce crumbs, such as cakes, blackberries, raspberries, and some cookies. Fingers are not recommended either and can result in some very unhappy guests.

Q: Where can I place the machines?

A: You will need a sturdy table capable of handling a minimum of 100 pounds and a dedicated electrical outlet. In-doors is highly recommended. We will supply an extension cord. It is also highly recommended that the machines should be placed where people will not hit or bump into them.

Q: Does Conrad's Concessions provide the dipping items?

A: Dipping items are available upon request. Click here to view our dipping items. We also offer packages without dipping items as well.

Q: Can I keep any additional chocolate or other fountain products and supplies?

A: Of course! If not, we will gladly take back any unopened products.

Q: Do I need to tip the "Chocolatier" attendant and how much is appropriate?

A: A small gratuity, 10-15%, is encouraged but not required. All gratuities are strictly at the discretion of the client.

Q: How long prior to my event will you arrive?

A: Standard is about one hour prior.

Q: How far in advance should I make my reservation for a fountain?

A: Allow 7 days from your scheduled event to make your reservation. If you are ordering dipping items from us as well please allow a minimum of 10 days in advance. However, we will work with you the best we can, please call us as soon as possible to make your reservation.

Q: Does Conrad's Concessions provide napkins and screwers for the dipping?

A: Yes. Napkins and screwers come standard in any package. This is also one of the "Chocolatier's" tasks if you choose to have one at your event.

Q: Why do I need an attendant?

A: A lot of times the host/hostess does not have time to melt the chocolate, replenish the fountain and cleaning up after the machine, especially if you are entertaining a lot of guests. If there are kids, there will be a mess! Also a lot of times guests will drop their dipping items into the fountain causing the fountain to not flow properly. An attendant will troubleshoot any problems or concerns you might have. We want you to have a worry-free experience!

Q: Why should I use Conrad's Concessions?

A: We use Sephra and Buffett Enhancements fountains, the leader in the commercial and home fountain industry. We were also featured in Manhattan at the 2009 New York Food & Wine Festival. We are a fully-insured and family owed company since 2008.

Q: What type of chocolate do you use?

A: Premium-high grade chocolate by Merkens. Merkens adds pure cocoa butter to their ingredients, which rounds off the taste and texture of the chocolate to give it that sweet Belgium-style taste.

Q: What type of events have you done in the past?

A: Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Corporate events, Sweet 16's, Holiday parties, bridal showers, showcases, birthdays and 1st communions.

Q: Can I still bring my own dipping items even if Conrad's Concessions provides them for my event?

A: Absolutely! You can bring as many items as you desire in conjunction with ours and the attendant will look after them.
